Winter 2012 Issue of Modern Handmade Child

Wanted to share with everyone the Winter Issue of Modern Handmade Child. If you have not seen it before, it is a publication where moms come together, share tips, tricks, tutorials, gift guide ideas, recipes and really a lot more. I encourage you to take a gander if you have not already.

In future issues of MHC and on the blog, I will be sharing creative ideas that you can do with your children to encourage in the love of learning. As many of you know, I am a big supporter of education and the arts. It does not matter where you are, you can always learn and have fun at the same time.

For the winter issue, my group of young artists and I discuss more about working with colors via a downloadable color wheel that is available for you. Young artists will learn about primary and secondary colors, as well as what is a tertiary color and how it fits on a color wheel. To compliment the color wheel project, we also have an art project that once dried, additional discussion can be viewed about color mixing.

I would love to hear from you if you have done any color wheel projects and what they were. I think the more we share, the more we know, the better our children can learn!
