Pecan and/or Walnut Pie
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup unbleached flour
- 2 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vinegar
- 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups pecans, whole (or even walnuts)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Roll out the pastry and place it in a greased 9" pie plate.
- Melt the butter and set it aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the milk and eggs and beat well. Stir in the vinegar and vanilla
- Pour the mixture into the crust and bake for 45 minutes. When the pie is done, the top will be puffed up.
- Remove from the oven and cool completely before slicing to your family and friends.
